Daria's mother Daria Nicholodi portrayed anorexic Daria and was among Argento's favorite actors.

She was born on July 13 in Metairie, Louisiana, but she was raised in Charleston, South Carolina. She began her modeling career in the early years of her life as a girl. She was named the Elite Miami Model after being an official finalist in the Elite Model Look competition of 1993. She also modeled with Elite Miami internationally, as well at shows held at the expense of Elite Miami in Miami.
