Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue ellis-taylor, an American screen and stage actor and producer. She is best known as an actress in films for her roles on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in theater, film as well as television. Her career began as an actor in theater and then went on to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. In BET's epic series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she receive critical acclaim for her character, she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway she was a part of the cast on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In terms of her career in movies, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. In her television work, she's been recognized for her role as the regular character in ABC's cop drama High Incident.
